    PAG-IBIG Overseas Program - FAQ
 
1 . What is the PAG-IBIG Overseas Program?
The PAG-IBIG Overseas Program is voluntary savings program which aims to provice Filipino overseas contract workers/immigrants/permanet residents the oppurtunity to save for their future and to avail of a housing loan of as much PhP2,000,000.00.
 
2 . Who are eligible to become members of the PAG-IBIG Overseas Program?
Any Filipino who works overseas as a contract worker or as an immigrants / permanent resident is eligible to become a member of the PAG-IBIG Overseas Program by accomplishing the members data form and paying the required membership contributions.

 
3 . Who are eligible to apply for a housing loan under the PAG-IBIG
Overseas Programs?
• An active member with at least 12 months membership contribution.
• Insurable and not more than 65 years old at loan maturity.
• Has no outstanding PAG-IBIG housing loan, either as a principal borrower
or co-borrower.
• Has no outstanding multi-purpose loan, in arrears at the time of loan application.

 
4 . What are the applicable loan purposes?
The PAG-IBIG housing loan may be used to finance any one or a combinations
of the following:
• Construction or completion of a residential unit on a lot owned by the member.
• Purchase of a lot and construction of a residential unit thereon.
• Purchase of a residential house and lot, townhouse or condo unit.
• Purchase of a fully developed residential lot not exceeding 1000sqm.
• Major repairs, expansion or renovation of an existing residential building, townhouse, or condominuim unit.
• Refinancing of an existing mortgage loan with an institution acceptable to HDMF which is current and updated for the past 24 months.
 
5 . How much can a PAG-IBIG Overseas Member Borrow?

6 . How much is the interest rate that the member shall pay?
To provide an incentive for prompt payment of housing loans, HDMF shall charge a lower interest rate on loans which shall be paid on time, as follows.

7. How long is the repayment period?
The loan term shall be based on the membership term chosen by the member at the time of enrollment.

• 10 years
