EVP Edna Sutter and Pres. Martin Sutter led the ceremonial ground breaking of Phase 5 with the participation of DDC Land employees.

March 27, 2010 marked the grand launching of Garden Villas III Phase 5 in Barangay Labas, Malusak and Ibaba- its the newest project of DDC Land, that offers quality, inexpensive homes to every Filipino. It has a total of 1,048 housing units and lot areas situated in a 14-hectare land adjacent to Garden Villas 3 Phase 3 and Garden Villas I. It boosts of two-story duplex and quadrulex units with the provision for third floor at the same price! By the end of the year the project is expected to deliver the first batch of project construction of about 250 units; and by 2012, the developer aims to hit the complete sales of Phase 5, which opened its pre-selling stage from February 10 to March 27, 2010. Special discounts and freebies offered to buyers during this period. The day-long affair set to unleash the new Project kicked off with the several loud bangs at 9:00 AM, welcoming the cheery mood of the guests and participants of the event. The motorcade rolled off along Sta. Rosa City’s major thoroughfares, Biñan town proper and part of Cabuyao, Laguna. It was participated in by the members of the Drum and Lyre Band of Sta Rosa Elementary School, providing musical accompaniment to the participants who gave away DDC land leaflets along the way. Pigeon Patrol Bikers of Sta. Rosa also joined the activity and ensured that traffic was in order. They were assisted by some officials of the Sta. Rosa PNP in maintaining the peace and order of the motorcade. Open house and tripping followed right after the motorcade.

Barangay Malusak headed by its chairman, Henry barriga recently hold State of the Barangay Address (SOBA) led by Sta. Rosa City Mayor, Hon. Arlene Arcillas Nazareno. During the SOBA, Mayor Nazareno acknowledged Mr. Martin and Mrs. Edna Sutter President/EVP respectively of DDC Land – owner/developer of Sta. Rosa Garden Villas for their generous support in awarding a portion of lot to Barangay Malusak intended to extend the present Barangay Hall. The city officials who were at the gathering were so impressed at the site of the subdivision, its cleanliness, orderliness and the breezy outlook of the area. Most of them were attracted at the sight of Garden Villas Subdivision and encourage all homeowners to maintain its cleanliness, through “Tapat Ko Linis Ko” program and experience the cozy ambiance of the community.

In the objective of promoting fire prevention awareness among Garden Villas residents, DDC Land Inc. spearheaded a Fire Drill last March 14, 2010 at Garden Villas grounds. The community activity led by Mr. Nelson Morrondoz, Site Adminstrator, Cita Carvajal and HOA President Ariel Amable, is a joint effort with the Local fire Department of Sta. Rosa City under Chief Fire Inspector Rizalde M. Castro. Local firefighters extended their proficiency on fire prevention techniques in a short briefing held at Garden Villas Clubhouse at 9:00 in the morning, which the constituents could use in case of fire. Emphasized in the discussion to beat the onset of fire anywhere is to keep calm and have presence of mind. This will enable them to find ways to escape from fire or stop it from spreading. The short open forum was followed by an actual demonstration, using fire extinguisher, fire hose and hydrant, making the affair a more relevant and timely in the celebration of the Fire prevention Month.

DDC Land’s employees were engaged in a 3-day Seminar, and General Assembly last January 4 5, & 6, 2010, entitled, Speed of Trust, The One Thing that Changes Everything, by: Stephen M. R Covey. The objective is to challenge every department committed to the management to produce better results learned from the previous seminars. At the General Assembly II held on April 12, 2010, the results were discussed by each department and presented accomplishments and was rated based on the book of Mr. Covey. To continuously learn and re-learn on how to become effective employees in each department, the next assembly will be held in July 2010, until the process will become a way of life. Election time is here and to help you with its new system of voting, the first time in the country, we came up with these basic steps from COMELEC to guide you in voting.

Step 1- Go to your precinct on May 10
As much as possible, come earlier to your respective precincts to avoid hurrying for cut off. Casting of votes starts from 7:00 am to 6: 00 PM. Upon arriving at the precinct, look for your name at the Posted Computerized Voters List (PCVL) near the door of the voting center to
determine your precinct number and sequence number. The voter will be instructed to give this information to the Bureau of Election Inspector (BEI) together with other personal information. Make sure you bring your voter’s ID with you. If you don’t have one yet, bring any valid ID along with your registration stub.

STEP 2- Get your identity verified
After your identity is verified, your name will be read out loud to give
chance for any contention. If uncontested, you will be given a ballot by the BEI
chairman – only upon ensuring that you has not yet casted your vote in another
precinct.

STEP 3- Cast your Vote
Familiarize first how the ballot looks like. Listen to the BEI’s instruction on how to fill the ballot. You will be instructed to fill out your ballot using a secrecy folder and a marking pen provided by the Comelec. You must fill out the ballot by fully shading at least 50 percent of the oval beside the names of the candidates and party-list group of your choice.
· Every voter gets only ONE ballot. No replacement ballots will be given to voters who make a mistake.
· Make sure the ballot you receive has no marks and is otherwise clean.
· Each ballot comes with the name of the candidates. To the left of the candidates are ovals. Simply shade the oval next to the name of the chosen candidate.
· The oval must be shaded COMPLETELY. Ballots with check marks, x marks, partially shaded ovals, and other marks will be rejected.
· Do not over-vote (e.g. vote two candidates for the position of President) because this will invalidate your votes for the position (but not the whole ballot). You can bring a sheet of your chosen candidates with you when you vote.

STEP 4- Feed your ballot to the Precinct
Count Optical Scan (PCOS) Once you have accomplished your ballot, feed the ballot into the PCOS, the automated machines that reads the codes of your votes. You must personally feed
your ballot into the machine. Wait for the confirmation message to appear on the
screen. Wait until the ballot is dropped into the semi-transparent ballot box. If the ballot is
rejected, the BEI will allow for another reentry, but if rejected again, you will not be
issued a replacement ballot. STEP 5 Go to the Board of Election Inspector (BEI) for indelible inking Return the secrecy folder and marking pen to the BEI chairman. The
BEI chairman will in turn apply indelible ink at the base and extend it to the cuticle
of the right forefinger nail of the voter, who will then be instructed to affix his or
her thumbmark in the space in the Election Day Computerized Voters List (EDCVL).
Leave the voting area.

DDC Land President, Mr. Martin Sutter welcomes his parents together with EVP Edna Sutter. Mr. & Mrs. Juerg Erwin Sutter and Hedwig Anna Marie arrived on Friday, Jan. 23, 2010 from Switzerland, the first time they visited the Philippines. Mr. Sutter proudly presents the newly renovated unit 101 of the main office in Marbella Condominium. Mrs. Hedwig Anna Marrie, unfortunately did not make it. The newly occupied unit 101 is the office of CRD & Buyback Dept. Marketing & Sales Dept. and Documentation Dept. The employees welcome the visitors with warm hospitality, as Filipinos known to be. Mr. Juerg Sutter is very proud of his son, Martin and daughter-in law, Edna for a very successful business venture in the country.

Likewise, he is very pleased with the employees of DDC Land for the love and support given to the leadership of Martin and Edna Sutter. On Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, Martin and Edna Sutter tour the couple to the project site in Sta. Rosa Garden Villas after enjoying the cool weather of Tagaytay. They were mesmerized at the cleanliness and orderliness at the site of Garden Villas, and were struck in such a beautiful subdivision, which is in total contrast in what they have seen outside of Garden Villas (makalat, mabaho, magulo at marumi). The couple was introduced to POM Engr. Charlie Reotutar, Admin officers Nelson Morrondoz and Cita Carvajal, to other site engineers and to the Marketing Officers during the visit.

Sta. Rosa Garden Villas lives up to its name. The community, wherever located is surrounded by plants and trees. The planting strips in every housing unit are .60m. from the secondary road and 1.20m from the main road. DDC Land, Inc. the developer spent so much for the purchase of trees and plants that surrounds the community. Trees as we all know make the environment cooler and safe from the heat of the sun and from heavy rains. Plants of various kinds make the atmosphere beautiful, clean and green. The site administration guards against illegal cutting of trees, destroying and picking up flowers in all the areas of the subdivision. Anyone caught in violation of the regulations will be dealt with accordingly.

Traditionally, Filipinos are celebrating Christmas and New year season generously and abundantly. During this day, every member of the family are very busy doing their own tasks, from the parents to the youngest member of the family. Even the small kids has their own share too on how to make their self busy. In DDC Land, there is certain gatherings that yearly all employees should prepare with, The General Assembly.

Last January 4-6 right after the long holidays, all employees of DDC Land were engaged with a 3-day seminar and workshop wherein all managers and supervisors are the speakers. It was really a one of a kind seminar sponsored by owner-developer, Mr. & Mrs. Martin and Edna Sutter. The seminar was inspired by the book of Stephen M. R. Covey entitled “THE SPEED OF TRUST – The One Thing that Changes Everything”. It was really very important to every individual especially in everyday lives, whether a student, a professional or an ordinary people. For instance, in the second wave, it consists of 13 Behaviors where in gaining Trust is so important, because it really can make you a better person and it can also break you as well. We will be having another assembly anytime this March to measure whether what we have learned is being practiced.

The Board of Directors of Garden Villas I Homeowners Association led by its President Merlyn Portugal and Vice President Danilo Francisco request DDC Land, Inc. developer of Garden Villas, to refurbish the basketball court to prepare the area in its coming Basketball and Volleyball Summer League this March. The letter given to DDC Land President Martin Sutter approved the request and granted the total amount of P8, 115 to purchase construction materials, as well as materials to be used for the volleyball and basketball tournament which include Basketball Molten, Volleyball Molten and Volleyball net. The items are for the safekeeping of the Board Members. The HOA members start cleaning the area with the youth members, and as soon as the court is ready, the tournament begins. According to the organizer of the tournament, Danilo Francisco VP, HOA GV I and Chairman Sports Committee the competition starts anytime this summer, and the organization is on its planning stage.

Eco-Waste recovery Services Program is now adopted by the Rotary Club of Fort Bonifacio Global City wherein DDC Land’s EVP Edna Sutter is the Charter President.

The project aims to incorporate interest on both leaders and the public in understanding their roles, relationships, and contributions through their perceptions and attitudes as all are recognized as important stakeholders in attaining sustainable solutions to the concerns of the environment, which are the main cause of nearly all problems in the world.
The project is a duplication of the highly successful and widely acclaimed waste management strategy of Brgy. Bagumbuhay, Project 4, Quezon City under the leadership of Brgy. Chairman Raulito Datiles.

Garden Villas intends to implement its proven 4E’s of effective waste management: E-ducation, E-ngineering, E-nforcement and E-conomics.

The project to be adapted in Garden Villas begins with Trainers Training Program whose attendees will be recommended by the officers of the HOA. Flyers for this effect will be distributed to every household as an initial plan to intensify information and education campaign on the benefits of ecologically sound solid waste management system in the community through proper waste segregation and disposal. Seminar for the Trainers’ Training will be conducted and led by Edna Sutter EVP of DDC land together with Cita Carvajal of Garden Villas 3 Phase 2.

DDC Land tossed a fun filled Buyers’ Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 at the Club House of Garden Villas 3. Most of the buyers who are active in referring clients were present during the merry making. There were lots of surprises, gifts, raffle prizes, entertainments and of course sumptuous meal for all those who attended. At least six groups of buyers from the assigned Marketing Officers presented their piece that makes the affair very exciting. Lights & Shades live band rendered some requested songs from the audience and the emcees for the night were Bessie Catindig of Phase 1 and Aquilino Profugo of Phase 3. Most
applauded is the fireworks presented at the end of the party.

DDC Land, Inc. President Martin Sutter announced that uniformed vehicle stickers for all vehicle owners of Garden Villas I, II & III will soon implement in year 2010. The idea was planned as early as November 2009. He said this is the better way to impose security measures in all Garden Villas Subdivision to make sure that residents will have peaceful living in their respective areas.

Residents of Garden Villas with any kind of motorized vehicles can apply for the vehicle stickers. Application forms are available at the Customers Relations Dept. of the field office starting January 15, 2010. Upon submission of the filled up application forms stickers will be issued FREE. The number of stickers corresponds to the number of vehicles applied for reflected in the application forms.

Moving in homeowners with vehicles will be given application together with their MIC. All vehicle owners are given up to February 28, 2010 to secure stickers, remember NO STICKER, NO ENTRY.

DDC Land employees marked December 18, 2009, as the get-together and year-end party for all, celebrated at the Forbes Park Club House in North Forbes, Makati City. The theme “Futuristic Year End Party ” was thought of by its President Martin Sutter. He believes that the future of the
company is in everybody’s hands, and that we will live with it together with its partners in business like the clients, buyers, contractors, suppliers and workers. The company’s objective this year 2010 is to unite, solidify and trust each other for the better future of the company and better projects and services to more clients.

In behalf of Mr. Martin Sutter, who was unable to deliver speech because of sore throat, EVP Edna Sutter congratulates everyone for being creative and for having vision in the future, the vision that she would like everybody to have for the success of the company.
